I would have loved to enter the Costume Contest, but I didn't get my registration in on time. But that's ok, because I
got to watch the whole thing and take a ton of pictures!
Make-up demonstration with audience participant and Warwick
Davis as emcee. I just caught the very end of this, so they were
nearly done. It looked really cool!
Warwick Davis!
The costume contest begins...
More emcee action
Children first: two
adorable Rebel pilots
An incredibly gorgeous Senate Amidala and doll by the incomparable Nostradamus of theforce.net
costuming boards, modeled by her lovely daughter Quincy
Cute Jawa costume
A couple young padawans of
the Bear Clan
She walked back and forth on stage very quickly, and Warwick Davis had
to slow her down a bit. He commented that she was "just his size!"
A young Aurra Sing with a very impressive costume
and unidentified chaperon.
This is one of my favorite Leia gowns, so I took lots of pictures!
I believe this is an Ep. II Obi-Wan,
and a very nice one at that.
Another Obi-Wan, Ep. III
this time
An Ep. III Anakin
Obi-Wan again, can't tell
which movie
Another Ep. III Anakin
This adorable Leia was very
determined!
The "Heroes" portion of the contest begins with a gorgeous
Bespin Leia gown.
Luke the Action Figure again!
A blurry Jedi
I think this is Vader's good side, as
evidenced by the Ewok he is holding.
A lovely Ceremonial Leia
An Ep. IV Obi-Wan
This was some EU character, I
think. Don't remember his story.
Qui-Gon Jinn
Yet another Ep. III Anakin
A lovely Adi Gallia. The video cameraman cut off her head, not me.
An impressive Ep. III Mon Mothma. I liked hers a lot so I took a few pictures.
A very nice Bail Organa
A rather unique costume: Clone Wars Obi-Wan
Another animatronic tauntaun! I believe this is a different one
than I saw in the hallway before, but just as impressive.
I'm not sure if this was another Shaak Ti or the same one I saw before. Either way, her
costume was awesome!
Her costume was so intricately
detailed and gorgeous.
An awe-inspiring Queen Apailana. Again, amazing attention to detail, very well put-together, and simply beautiful!
This has to be the same
Queen Jamillia I saw before.
A very nice Shmi Skywalker.
Not only is the costume perfect, but
she looks just like Pernilla August!
This guy WAS Han Solo. Attitude and everything.
I think this was a different guy, but he was equally cool.
A lovely Jocasta Nu, I believe.
My pictures don't do him justice because he was
moving too fast, but I loved this guy's Mace Windu!
A Jedi I am unfamiliar with, but
he looks cool.
Still another Ep. III Anakin
I'm pretty sure this was an
Ep. VI Luke.
A cute padawan
I don't remember this lady's story, but her costume was awesome!
Ok, words cannot describe how incredibly cool this guy was in person! Of course no one had seen Ep. III yet, so I don't know
how he did such a wonderful job on this costume, but I could tell it was astoundingly accurate, without knowing much about the
character myself. Oh yeah, he's General Grevious.
And then his arms popped out
from under his cloak, and he got a
huge cheer from the audience!
Here is one of my favorite villains, Asajj Ventress. And I have to say, she did an awesome job on her costume!
...and bringing him back to life,
Frankenstein-like. It was quite
amusing.
This guy made up a story about
the Emperor rescuing Darth
Maul's upper half...
Another superior job on another of my favorite villains, Zam Wesell. The pictures I took don't do her costume justice, unfortunately. The video camera was
moving too fast.
Here is one of Zam's cohorts - a very impressive Jango Fett. His costume was very elaborate and detailed. I was quite amazed.
This guy looked so much like Count Dooku you would swear
he stepped right out of the screen!
I don't remember his story exactly,
but I think he was an EU character.
One of the illustrious Red Guard. A very impressive and imposing costume.
Here's another General Grievous, not quite as extravagant as the
first one but still really cool.
